A Brief History

  The Wesley Thrift Shop was founded by the Women’s Society of the Crawfordsville First United Methodist Church in 1960 to raise money for church and community projects. Through 3 locations over the past 60-plus years, the Thrift Shop has provided a place to purchase clean, good quality, in-style clothing, small household items, and books at affordable prices.  It has also offered a place for consigners to receive a reasonable return selling items. Our all-volunteer "staff” of community members now numbers near 100. Net proceeds support church programs and charities locally, nationally, and internationally.
